WINTER  WOOLIES, WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THOSE LEFT OVER YARN ?

WINTER  WOOLIES, WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THOSE LEFT OVER YARN ?

This month, let’s focus on what we could use from our craft cupboards; things we have knitted and stitched we can rework, reuse and possibly recycle.
With deliveries taking longer than usual and the universal tightening of purse strings, I tried to come up with something that would be cost effective, colourful and creative for all of us … not to mention, warm, useful and handy.
You guessed it … fingerless gloves!
It is a perfect project or gift for all ages and, as always, it’s so special to receive something hand made with love.

After I knitted my fingerless gloves, I used my left over Anchor tapestry wool to add a few personal embellishments using a variety of stitching techniques; French knots, last daisy, blanket, stem and backstitch. The images show the creations perfectly.
